Answer:

It’s historic, iconic, bustling and there’s so much to do and see. It’s the capital, so it’s a great place to be.
Conversely, it’s busy, expensive, crowded, smelly (sometimes), and the people aren’t always very friendly :(

London, easy choice! There’s so much to do and it’s the capital, and you’ll get the chance to experience so much culture and history there.
I have lived in Cambridge and it is beautiful. It’s also really accessible from London (30 mins on train), so you could always visit. There isn’t a lot to do in Cambridge though, so don’t be too let down! Brighton is also very accessible from London. I’ve never been, but have been told that it’s a great day out.

It may be one o’clock in the morning, but it’s always time for tea.
